The focus of care:

Holistic Midwifery is the art of caring for the whole person - body, mind, and soul - through attentive listening, education, and genuine connection. It blends traditional midwifery wisdom with evidence-based support, nutritional guidance, natural remedies, and movement-based alignment to help restore balance. It also emphasizes skilled, nurturing care that minimizes unnecessary interventions, provides clear education, and deeply respects each mother’s right to make informed choices about her own care.

COMPREHENSIVE MIDWIFERY CARE

    • Holistic, client-centered, prenatal care with Licensed Midwives AND Certified Naturopathy Practitioner (Grace) or Herbalist (Candice)

    • 1 hr prenatal visits monthly until 32 wks, biweekly 32-36 wks, weekly thereafter

    • Risks / benefits / alternatives - your informed choice without coercion, supported through prayer and intuition

    • Assessment of vitals, fetal growth, fetal heart rate, current pregnancy symptoms at every visit

    • Discuss all aspects of health, diet, exercise, breastfeeding, baby care, raising a family, develop mutual trust, focusing on optimal health for mom & baby

    • Labs drawn in-office

    • Referrals for sonograms as needed

    • Direct access to your Midwives for urgent needs

    • Client portal messaging system with your Midwives for non-urgent needs between appts.

    • Access to lending library

    • On-call beginning at 37 wks to attend your home birth

    • We are part of your collaborative bith team. Parents are encouraged at their discretion to guide the aspects of their care, whether that is all hands on deck or assessing intently from across the room. We can be hands-on or hands-off as is appropriately needed with informed choice. Our team is very gentle and quiet, respecting your body and space.

    • Intermittent fetal and maternal monitoring throughout labor, birth, and immediate postpartum

    • Continuous assessment of normal and gently informing you when risks are present to make an informed decision

    • Cord is kept intact until delivery of placenta, if possible, and baby stays with Mom and Dad to soak in the “Golden Hour.” Learn more about the importance of protecting this physiology

    • Help establish breastfeeding

    • Thorough Newborn Exam

    • Clean up, give instructions on what is / is not normal immediate postpartum health for mom and baby, and tuck you in

    • On-call for urgent concerns for mom or baby day or night

    • Checking in by phone at 12-24 hours & 7-10 days

    • In-home visit at 36-48 hours & 2 wks (1 additional visit if needed)

    • Final in-office visit at 6 wks

    • Newborn Screening

    • Breastfeeding support & educational resources

    • Monitoring of healthy transition for baby and mom

    • Referral for mom or baby, if needed

    • Birth processing, if needed

    • PAP smear, if desired
